Raised in the Tri-Cities, Bo is a graduate of ETSU’s Department of Biological Sciences and the UT Health Science Center in Memphis where he earned his Doctor’s Degree in Dental Surgery. He began as a public health dentist for the State of Tennessee. Nearly 30 years ago he began growing a successful practice in Johnson City that today cares for thousands of patients.
Along the way he served as Dental Director of the Remote Area Medical Volunteers Corp and helped coach future Science Hill Topper baseball players along with two sons who are Topper graduates.
Running his professional practice he manages employees, payroll, capital expenditures, follows regulations, looks after his patients with care. Before big decisions/large expenditures are made he looks at the potential return on investment without affecting other systems within the organization. He will use the same approach as your Commissioner.
Since January of this year Bo has served on the Johnson City Planning Commission. Bo used his listening skills to vote against a proposed residential development that could have destroyed property values.
His love for Johnson City, his skills as a doctor and businessman and commitment to listening to citizens and wisely voting in their best interests is why Bo Westmoreland is worthy of your vote.
